Ultrasound-guided injections
Ultrasound guidance makes it possible to see the needle and targeted structure during certain injections.
Which areas?
Depending on the indication: shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers; hip, knee, ankle and foot; selected nerves and the sacroiliac joint. Cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine injections are not offered.
Which treatments?
Corticosteroid, viscosupplementation or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may be considered according to the diagnosis, area and patient’s situation. Options are discussed after assessment; an injection is not automatic.

A physician referral is required. The referring physician can complete the form and fax it to 514 558-8775.
After the referral is received, it is reviewed. If a consultation can be offered, the patient will be contacted about next steps.
